Do you think we sometimes find it easier to remain focused on past victories rather than move onto the next? Perhaps we experienced such a level of success we can’t imagine anything topping that event, or maybe it just seems safer to linger longer at that past hight point. We might even try convincing ourselves that it is not worth the effort as there are those that are watching with a critical spirit for failure to alight on us.
We have all felt the sting of judgement in one way or another. When we have felt misunderstood and pressed to achieve a standard set forth by an unbelieving world that is driven by fear. This fear surfaces as a frontal attack that attempts to tell us that we have ungodly ambition, instead of recognizing a spirit of excellence.
As believers we are victorious in this life when we allow the Source of our success to be the standard that we live by each day. It is truly our heavenly worth that professes that we are of great value in the kingdom, and we must embrace and believe this truth.
1 John 4:4 NKJV You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
