Do you look to the future?

I know that by now most of you realize that Jack had open heart surgery, and yesterday was actually considered the first day post op. All the steps that he took in the literal sense, including goals that the health professionals want to see him achieve, are all about making his future days better.

As the day progressed it became obvious to me of how our future is impacted by our present. What we are doing today either parallels with that future, or it can actually be taking us off course. So, now I propose this question for us to consider. As we are looking to the future, are we pulling it into the present?

I believe that we all have those moments when we come to understand something that seems to open our spiritual eyes in such a way that is fully transforming. For me it is knowing that the Father sees us complete, that everything that we would ever achieve has already been seen, and it is just a matter of walking it out. It is what I mentioned in the paragraph above about pulling that future into the present time.

We have a future and a hope that should give us the perspective we need to make the very best of these days. God wants us professing agreement with His Word because He knows that by doing so it makes that path into our future well defined.

1 Corinthians 2:9 CSB But as it is written, what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived-God has prepared these things for those who love Him.

What game are we playing?
