My desire is to write with relevance, not just words strung together that sound good, but that are meaningless in terms of lasting deep understanding. I need the Holy Spirit to lead me to write what is life giving; that I would not waste my efforts and your time, but that revelation would come from Him to us.
There is an instrumental statement of trust that we make when we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to influence us. When we believe this, we then have freedom to move into limitless possibilities. If we are choosing to believe in His word, His ability, His love, and His desire to see us whole, success is nothing to doubt for His promises speak of completion.
Dallas Willard, a man who I much admired said, "a life that is organized around God is sustained by Him."
Contrary to trusting in the Holy Spirit is to question almost everything we do and say, as our certainty will not be in God, but in our own abilities. It is those abilities that will have no power to stand-alone and will betray us time and time again. Psalm 20:7 NIV, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Trusting in our own strength to carry us through is no match for that of the Holy Spirit.
I am very intentional to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for direction and the subject matter for the day before I feel the release to post. Many things came to mind, but nothing that seemed to give me peace, until I started to think of simple truth and the Holy Spirit.
John 14:15-17 NKJ “If you love Me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him or knows Him, but you know Him for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
