Is a change of perspective what is needed?

I want my perspective to hinge on how God sees me, and although I have an enormous amount of freedom, I don't want to waste it. God's perspective is constant and unwavering, and my desire is that mine become closely in tune with His. Sounds simple, but it takes work!

When we know someone well, we can often hear what they will say, even before they say it. By this I mean that we are so accustomed to the way they think, that as a result they are dependably predictable. While there are times when this can be annoying, when you are the person who seems predictable, it really speaks of a relationship that is reliable and trustworthy.

Knowing how God thinks on particular subjects, and how those subjects relate to our lives, is spelled out in His word. There is no game or puzzle to be solved before we get the essence of how God thinks. We need only ask the Holy Spirit and He will freely deliver all we need.

When I begin to fashion my own conclusions on how God would approach the decisions that I make in my life it can be daunting. I can be going in one direction when I realize that I need to make an immediate change, but now which way? When this happens I have a simple solution. I pray!

Jesus, may I see Your perspective and not rely on my own assumptions, as I want to stay on target with what You see as valuable for this time and place.

John 14:26 NIV But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT  Never stop praying.
