I know that our obvious answer is yes, but do we really imagine that the Father had thoughts about us before the foundations of the earth? That is powerful right?
For believers when we look at our children we imagine what they will become, how they will influence the world, and how their lives will impact the Kingdom of God. I know that it brings me joy to see our daughters and their families prospering as they faithfully follow God. And to see further evidence of this in six grandchildren makes my heart glad.
When our daughters were young I saw glimpses of who they would become as I observed them at play. It is so amazing to recall how they intuitively interacted with people and their surroundings so long ago and who they are today. I really can say that the evidence was clear all those years ago.
I am not disappointed in my daughters and never will be! The reality for me is that they are doing exactly what God saw for them from that place before time and His pleasure far exceeds mine. Our Father in heaven looks at us with an even deeper satisfaction and knowing. We are His children and because of Jesus we have given Him pleasure that we will not fully understand until we see Him face to face.
Isaiah 44:24 ESV Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself.
Isaiah. 49:15-16 CSB “Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Even if these forget, I will not forget you. Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”
