Are you determined to see the right outcome?

As a dog holds onto his bone, when I get a thought in my mind, it is hard to let go. Whatever it may be isn’t always what matters the most. What matters is caring, visualizing a path forward, then taking the initiative to act on what I see. Frankly, that path may have twists and turns, perhaps even disappearing for a moment into the overgrowth, but still I rarely get discouraged.

What I know about me is simple. I am a starter/finisher, so anytime I feel that barriers have been erected posing a challenge to that completion, it is time to press in with even more tenacity.

Maybe this describes who you are, and if it does, then you and I share something that others need. What we share is hope.

Hope that wrong can, and will, be made right. Hope that we are not alone in our battles. Hope that we will have everything we need to complete our assignment. Hope that nothing is wasted, including all the time we spend pursuing our dreams.

Hope will never disappoint us, for it builds us up. Hope does not break us down. Hope is contagious and hope is live giving. It will change thoughts of desperation into thoughts that focus on all manner of possibilities.

Everyone may not be a starter/finisher personality like me, but everyone needs hope if they expect to keep going.

Isaiah 40:28-31 ESV Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
