Yesterday morning I needed a reminder that I am a woman of faith! Even when I am being told what the medical situation is by very well meaning health professionals, I need to hold the line. My profession of agreement must be with God and His Word, and I must believe that my sister will be well.
In the world we live in it is easy to be like Chicken Little proclaiming that the sky is falling, but we are more then nursery characters that are wobbled by fear. We are women of faith who understand the power that our words carry, words that speak life or speak death, and we get to choose. In Romans 4:17 we read where God gives life to what is dead and calls things into existence that do not exist. This is what we believe and where are agreement must be!
As women of faith others are looking to see our strength of character. A character that has been shaped by the renewing of our mind spent in God’s Word, by pursuing the things of God, and by allowing our lives to be a testimony to what we profess.
When the pressure is real, when the situation is critical, when the time has come for action, no matter how difficult, we must be able to stand strong holding the line as women who demonstrate faith even as others are faltering around us. The very atmosphere in the room will be charged with the aroma of Christ as we speak words that carry life and carry that life in abundance!
2 Corinthians 2:14-16 CSB But thanks be to God, who always leads us in Christ’s triumphal procession and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life.
