Would you agree that this is a great question? I know for certain that God is all about revealing anything that will bring us deeper into relationship, understanding, and agreement with who He is. Surely, it is difficult to be in agreement with what or who you do not know, but once you know, well this changes everything.
I am an individual, as is my family, that once we have had revelation, whether it be God sized, or simply something that we now know that we didn’t know before, we are changed. Not only does the revelation change us, it causes us to make whatever course correction is necessary to keep in agreement with that revelation. Perhaps I should say it this way. When I know then I know, and I can’t go back to what I thought was true before I got further revelation.. It will never again work for me.
God’s Word is the plumb line and Scripture is the absolute truth of who God is. Proverbs 4:5 says, Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
A friend of mine told me that she asked God for a word, a word that would speak to her personally, but also one which she could share. God did not disappoint her because He never disappoints those that belong to Him. God’s Word tells us that those who diligently seek Him will find Him. They will be rewarded with a greater presence of God in their lives, which opens the way for deeper revelation.
My friend shared that God took her to Daniel 2:21-22 which says, “And He changes the times and the season; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those that have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.”
What an awesome Scripture this is, and now perfectly in keeping with the season we are in as the body of Christ. God reveals those things that are in the darkness, things that have been keep secret, and things that the enemy would like to keep hidden. Yet, we know that God is Light and the Light chases out the darkness, bringing with it all wisdom, understanding, and knowledge that we need right now. God’s Word is never outdated, never without relevance, and never late. Just like God, His Word comes at exactly the right time.
Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!
