Have we downplayed our expectation of seeing God move?

Basically, have we downplayed our expectation of seeing God move and become conditioned to revelations from the past as our primary knowledge of God? This is not something that we necessarily set out to do, but perhaps complacency is more our normal. Perhaps we are satisfied when we should be hungry, hungry for the more, with absolutely no agreement that to settle is acceptable.

it pleases God when we seek Him out. When we are steadfast in our pursuit of Him, and when we are zealous in our study of God’s Word, it pleases God. The Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit want us to want Them, just as we desire to be wanted. Simple but true!

Matthew 5 in the Amplified Bible is a favorite of mine. It is the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus speaks plainly and with clarity. When we expect to meet God in extraordinary ways we will, and there will be nothing lacking.

Matthew 5:6 Amplified Bible Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!

Do you readily speak the name of Jesus?

What would you define as a vital necessity?
