Do you trust those you sit with?

Women sitting with other women is both natural, and a blessing. When we can sit with others and know we can confidently share we are in a good place. It means we have been deemed trustworthy by those we sit with side by side.

To be trustworthy is to be sought out by others. It is a place of distinction. It is a place that gives other women the assurance that they need to confidently share their life concerns, and their joys. For truthfully, our joys and sorrows, are deeply rooted in the heart, and both are held in reserve until the time is right to share. Why? Becasue even joy can be diminished when someone is not sensitive to its depth.

A trusted woman understands that she has the ability to impact by her words, so she guards another’s dreams and promises as though they were her own. A trusted woman’s heart will bear witness to the work that the Lord is doing in another person, and her perception will be both comforting and confirming. She will be a woman who looks for the gold in others, no matter how buried that gold happens to be.

Psalm 51:6-10 Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; therefore make me to know wisdom in my inmost being. Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean (ceremonially); wash me, and I shall (in reality) be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my guilt and iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, preserving, and steadfast spirit within me.
