Before you can truly understand another person, you must understand who you are! And, you will have gaps in understanding your identity, if you have not pressed in with Holy Spirit for that revelation. Holy Spirit alone is the One to guide you through your journey of discovering your true identity.
When you understand your own identity, it will create boundaries in your life. You will see those boundaries as critical to maintaining a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, one centered on truth. The Spirit of Truth promises to guide you into all aspects of truth.
John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
I know who I am, and my identity is connected to my purpose. Therefore, when I am asked who I am my reply is, “I am a truth-driven woman who values understanding, while seeking wisdom from Holy Spirit. Through Believing Woman in Conversation, I create room for women to share their stories, as they speak out the vision that is burning in their heart.”
So, my identity is connected to my purpose and that purpose has been set forth as a fundamental principle of my existence. This blog is one aspect, and I see it as an integral part of the whole.
Furthermore, I value a woman’s story, told in her unique voice, with a perspective that has grown out of living a life worthy to be told. A life story that she wants to share, and I long to hear.
