Strength for the believer is not dependent on his or her own ability, might, or even faith. It is tied to their ability to walk in weakness, which is not weakness, but is in itself a defining quality of strength. When we are weak, God is strong, and when we seek His face, we are not seeking our own. Our strength is not dependent on what we do, or who we have become. Our strength is dependent on our trust in His truth, His character, and His ability. When we are weak God shows Himself strong because we have allowed Him to be so in our life. We have shifted out of self—reliance to reliance!
When others see strengh, they should see a surrendered vessel. Your position should be one that causes them to press into the more that God’s Word declares is their right, as children of the King. The word is their inheritance!
Strength is rooted in victory and resiliency. Resiliency speaks of pressing through all manner of adversity, literally pressing into the Lord, as you fight to keep your eyes on Him. This positions you to reject all distractions. Why is this important? Because distractions operate to distract! They function to pull you away from keeping a sharp focus on what Holy Spirit is speaking, and where He is leading.
Distractions want your attention as they yell, ‘look at me!’They are after your Kingdom treasures, the precious jewels that others need. They aim to capture your gifts and talents for the dark side, as they take what is pure and innocent, twisting and using you for what is unholy and sinful.
This is where God’s strength comes to fight for us, as we reject and detest this enemy, having no mercy. We must not relent, but stand fast in God’s truth! OUR STRENGTH IS THE OVERFLOW OF JESUS! All we are is all that He is. We must never forget this truth.
