How big are your dreams?

When I pondered this question today I was surprised when my first thoughts were of contentment. I then asked myself if I have grown used to accepting limitations on dreaming big. Maybe I have allowed contentment to steal the abundance that God has promised through His word.

For me I see dreams as being either God sized or my size. If they are my size then what happens is up to me and my willingness to work really hard to bring them to fruition. If they are God sized they have little to do with my potential or talent and everything to do with my believing in God, and His ability.

When we have a dream that is bigger than we are, then I believe it is a dream that is born out of our spirit. That within our spirit the Lord has deposited a desire to see something manifest in our life that is impossible without His intentional involvement. It may be something that has been dormant, but at the appropriate time it will come alive and burn within us.

Man might call an extraordinary realization of a dream as a gift, which it is, but I believe God sees it as further fulfillment of His promises. On display are believing individuals leading exceptional lives and impacting others as they walk out God sized dreams.

The other day a young girl in our church prayed a God sized prayer. She prayed that we would be a people with power to change the world. A God inspired prayer for a God sized dream. I say amen to that!

Mark 11:24 NIV Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Can you believe in the person you see in the mirror?

Are you expecting to walk in victory?
