Walking in significance is closely connected to understanding and embracing our identity. Some years ago I was part of an intercession group with women. We met on a weekly basis to pray into and for many personal needs for ourselves and our families. It was a memorable time to be sure, and there always seemed to be a recurring theme which was identity.
I read a quote recently about identity which was great. Leah Molter said, “You are not what others think you are. You are what God knows you are.” How can we argue with that statement? It is perfect, as it puts into proper perspective who has the final word in regard to our identity.
Who are we? We are daughters of the Most High God. We are chosen and set apart, and our walk is victorious because we walk in favor and the righteousness of Christ.
Colossians 2: 9-10 CSB For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
