Are we having conversations that provoke people to seek God?

We have been given the authority to speak life into people by words that compel them to seek out God. Our conversations may make us feel good about who we are, and Who we honor, but ultimately we want to point them to the Lord. It is not enough to give them a glimpse of what we know, without giving them some direction as to how they can attain our treasure.

Even believers who witness their counterparts speaking, and giving a godly witness in the marketplace can be profitable. It can be enough to drive them to seek after God in a new and refreshing way. Truthfully, we never know who is watching our behavior, or listening to our speech. This can be a make it or break it moment for someone who is hurting, and needs to know that God is real. When we display our joy and peace it can be enough to cause another to feel a longing for what we have, which is a good thing!

We truly have an opportunity to be a witness in the marketplace for God in an age when we see so much displayed openly that is counter to Who we serve. These things that are all around us are not meant to lead people to seek God, but to seek self- indulgence, and pleasure.

Yesterday, I sat with seven women in a local restaurant eating lunch, and discussing our upcoming bible study. At some point a woman who was sitting near us came over to encourage us in our study. It was evidence of what I mentioned above. We were visible to anyone in the restaurant, and we clearly were excited about what God is doing in our lives. It was an encounter that brought smiles to us all, as this believing woman was drawn into our excitement. She then allowed us a glimpse of who she is, and how God has powerfully worked in her life.

There were many others having lunch yesterday, and I believe that our actions were visible to any who looked our way.

Proverbs 8:17 NKJV I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.

Matthew 6:33 CSB But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

Have you stepped away in order to step back in?

Are you being called to a place that you didn't expect?
