Is there unfinished business behind you?

I am a move forward individual, which is no surprise if you have been reading this blog for some time. The reason I feel confident to go forward is because my future is ahead of me, not behind. However, there are times when the Lord will take me back to look at something, but it is not to linger, and I am good with this. I am not afraid of the past, but I can best explain me this way. I am a pioneer not a settler. In my family we are a mix of pioneers and settlers, which is awesome, but I am not one of them. My husband chose a woman who he has asked to move twenty eight times throughout our marriage.

What I find interesting is that I love history, and yet I am always looking forward. To me history is important to learn from, as well as a place to gather perspective. There is much good behind us, but there were mistakes made that we never want to repeat.

My confidence in the Lord rests in the fact that if He asks me to go back, I am not going alone. He is with me! For this reason, I am assured that we will do what is necessary to take care of any business that needs attending together.

Isaiah 43:2 NIV When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
