In the book of Acts 1:4, Jesus instructed His disciples to wait on the Holy Spirit, and they did.
Can you imagine how amazed they must have felt when the Spirit of God came like the wind into the upper room where they were gathered? There would be no denying that His presence was felt as they all began speaking in tongues.
Do you recognize the power and presence of the Holy Spirit? Being the third Person of the Trinity does not imply that He is less than the Father or Jesus. In fact, it is He, the Spirit of God moving among us that changes the atmosphere as we welcome and request His presence.
The Holy Spirit is responsible for handing out the spiritual gifts to those that call Jesus Lord. He is powerful and mighty in His own right, and this world would be a dark place without Him. We want Him, needing His daily input into our lives, as He brings not only comfort, but wisdom. Two things that I never want to be short on.
If you want to know more about the things of God ask the Holy Spirit. He will never hold back!
John 16:13 NIV "But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come."
