Is the road calling out to you?

When my  husband and I started getting ready for our camping trip, a trip of about six weeks, we really started to get excited. Last year we bought an ultra light camper, that happens to be a blast to pull with our jeep, and which enables us to live out adventures.

This year as we were preparing to outfit the camper, we were determined to only bring what we would make daily use of, otherwise it was staying home. This caused us to be very intentional about the choices we made, for we knew if we made the wrong choices we would suffer out here away from home.

I'll admit this caused some tension for me as I have always found that over packing assures I am not limited to a few, when many always seems better. Though the idea was stressful, I was determined to win. For the record I do admire anyone who can pack light, but admit it challenges me!

During this time of preparation I realized that it was the Lord who was challenging me to leave behind the superfluous, things that often get in the way, and just bring what I needed. Trusting in Him to meet all my needs.

All too often we feel inadequate when it comes  to meeting the needs of people who come across our path. I know that the Lord was showing me that with Him I am fully equipped for any and all situations. Once again it comes down to trusting that He will supply all my needs.  I will not be in want, and neither will you!

Philippians 4:19 NIV And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
