Are you in the game?

Do you remember when you were a child, actively playing games with your friends? I especially recall this happening in the summer. We would gather in a friend's backyard, or meet on our bikes at a designated spot.

Everyone was there for a specific purpose, a purpose that required a response. There was a game to be played, a game dependent on a specific number of kids, as we did lots of team sports. The question was always the same, and those answers determined our options to more forward, or not. 'Are you in or out, engaged in what the majority wants to do, or not interested?'

At the end of the day, it is about commitment and sacrifice. You may get bruised and weary. There are no guarantees that you will come away unscathed, but there is a high likelihood that you will be forever changed.

What is the significance of being in the game?

It's about calling, mission, and change. It's about leaving the sidelines and getting involved. Your involvement does require something personal from you. It requires a response, your response.

Ask yourself this question. Do you really want to be on the sidelines when there is a game to be played?

Ezekiel 36:26-27 NLT And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

Are humble beginnings worthy of our effort?
