Do we avoid bringing Jesus into the conversation?

This morning I was thinking of how as women who believe and walk out that belief, we are aware of not wanting to offend unbelievers. Has it ever happened to you where you know you want to talk about Jesus, and yet you don't? You speak of God easily, even using the bless you or blessings as a way into conversation, but you hold back with mentioning Jesus?

I know that we have become super aware of the feelings of those around us. We live in a society that is super charged with speech that can be considered offensive, so we are extremely on guard. That guardedness can actually be paralyzing as we hold back on bringing the One into our encounters that has the ability to change every situation. The truth is we know that we can speak life, but let's not forget who is Life! We may see ourselves as important in the kingdom of God, but Jesus is the Kingdom.

Do you think that we have become so neutralized in our stand to not offend people that we are offending Jesus?

My intention is always to honor the Name above all names and to openly declare my connection to Him. I don't want my conversations to end with people not being clear about who I worship. For this reason, I will always desire to bring Jesus in and will look to the Holy Spirit for an open door. God's timing is always perfect and there is not an individual alive who doesn't need to hear the name Jesus, loud and clear.

Luke 9:26 NIV Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.
