Sometimes I feel that a question is important, and yet I know that the timing is not right. This was the case with this question, so I wrote it down and waited until I felt the release from the Holy Spirit to consider its relevance. I know that some questions may seem random, but this is not often the case. I prayerfully approach the questions and rely on the Lord to bring forth their purpose.
As women I think most of us would agree that shoes have a magnet- like quality that makes them difficult to resist. For me, boots are usually my choice when a surface may possibly be questionable. In the spirit this translates to a desire to be equipped with all that I need, especially when I come up against something that could potentially cause me to lose my balance, causing a slip or fall.
Years ago, the Lord showed me how even a slight deviation is still a deviation. We can be looking at something, but if we turn even slightly our line of sight has changed. The danger now comes from not seeing all that is in front of us. That deviation has caused what was once secure to become quite the opposite. I believe that most of us have had times when we thought we were seeing truth, only to later realize that it was a lie.
What becomes key is that we discern by the Holy Spirit if something is just not right, and not dismiss what He is showing us. We then must take the necessary steps to get our feet firmly planted back on that firm foundation which is Jesus.
Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV " For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
