Today I was listening to a commentary by a woman who truly makes me laugh. I only know her through her teachings, but she is so transparent and loveable that it is easy to call her friend.
As I thought of this question there are many directions that are viable, but only one that is on my heart. Friendships add immeasurable value to our lives, and when we lose someone close we feel the impact deeply. We are shaped by present and past relationships and marked by those that got away. I can still tell you all about my best friend growing up. She was my closest ally throughout my elementary and high school years, and when college took us down different paths, I felt the pain of separation.
When I think of the women in my life, I consider myself extremely blessed. They are women that I am proud to know, who I can depend on for support, and who have helped shape my walk. They love me and I love them! Truthfully, the greatest compliment that another woman can give to me is when she acknowledges me as her trusted friend.
John 15:15 NKJV "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you."
