Do you see yourself as ordinary?

I was reading over some notes I had made some time ago, and this question came up. It was interesting as it started me thinking of how we are all uniquely qualified to do what we have been called to do. This is no small thing for it means that even if we appear to be a rather unassuming individual, we may actually be called to push back the gates of hell through intense prayer and intercession.

Last weekend I had the privilege of being in the company of women who love God. It was a powerful night as we prayed and worshipped in fellowship with God, and each other.

In this group there was a woman who has walked in close relationship with Jesus for many years. Just hearing her speak words of wisdom and encouragement to the younger women was so moving. She has a powerful voice that comes from knowing that she is loved by God. She trusts the Word of God, and is not intimidated to share. This woman is a powerhouse for the Lord, strong in faith, and walking in His authority.

When a woman knows the truth that she carries, how to use it effectively, and is not afraid to demonstrate the saving grace of Jesus, she is far from ordinary. Her ordinary has been transformed by His redeeming gift of grace into a life that is nothing short of extraordinary.

Isaiah 40:31 NKJV But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Do you listen to God’s messengers?

How is the aging thing going?
