Have you been called out?

When we say yes to our calling there will be days when we want to retreat. Where the prospects of going forward do not look as inviting as just returning to where we were. It really is simply a question of whether the risks we take to being known by others are as attractive as our place of safety.

Many of us have felt that quickening in our spirit when we know that the timing is right to step out, and we refuse to return to our former days. It becomes full steam ahead when we choose to go forward despite voices that may implore us to quit. These are voices that press us to give into their repeated attempts to discourage our progress.

If you have been called out then you are in an awesome place. A place that may not be entirely comfortable, but needless to say it is a place that you know is right. When the Lord says go, He is looking for our obedience as we step out in faith, even when we don’t know where we are going. God knows it takes courage to leave every thing that we know for what we don’t know. In these instances this is exactly what God is asking of us. He is asking us to trust that He will take us to that place that has been prepared especially for us. A place where our gifts and talents will be exercised to the fullest and where we will glorify God.

Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV Now the Lord said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from you family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those that bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Where is your path leading you?

Do we allow God to carry us?
