I know several people who are in transition, being lead by the Holy Spirit down new paths that have heightened their expectations. These individuals have recognized the signs along the way, and know that the timing is right for fresh encounters with God.
It is a blessing to walk with these individuals as they look with eyes wide open and with a sense of awe. They know that God is setting the stage for encounters that will be both powerful and life changing. For these that I know, it is a time of worship, acknowledgement, and expectation.
When the Holy Spirit intervenes in our lives it is not usually a surprise. For believers who have rested in the promises of God for many years, there’s been peace and joy in the stillness, but also a longing to be fully walking in those promises. Yes, it is a new thing that God is doing, but it is what they have been waiting eagerly to see.
When we are experiencing a move of God, and freely reacting to the Holy Spirit, we make a conscious decision not to let the past keep us from entering into the moment. These moments are without preconceived notions or ideas of how they should look, but are dependent solely on the supernatural hand of God.
Hebrews 10:23 NKJV Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promises is faithful.
