We have all experienced, one time or another, the frustration that comes from being locked out. I can think of one time in particular that caused me a great deal of difficulty. Thankfully, those times are resolved and soon forgotten, but victory is a different story, requiring more than a locksmith.
As believers we know that without the Holy Spirit we lack the critical tools that open doors. Doors that lead us into spiritual and personal success. I have three specific points that are victory critical in my life, and which help me maintain a sharp focus.
First, is being awake to the Spirit of God. I am fully aware of my rights as a believer, as it is outlined in God's word, so I look for the Holy Spirit in all situations. In fact, it is the Holy Spirit who testifies to our rights as believers. Jesus declared Him as our comforter, gift-giver, One who searches the deep things of God to bring revelation and understanding to us, and so much more. To be awake to the Holy Spirit is to know victory.
Second, is to be moved by the Spirit, and to move in Him. It is when the Holy Spirit is moving that I am moved. I get to witness His powerful intercession as He brings Jesus and the Father into every situation, literally changing the atmosphere. Holy Spirit brings an expectation and excitement that is unmistakably awesome!
Third, is the personal transformation that occurs in me. When you have witnessed things happening around you, that only the Holy Spirit can accomplish, you are forever changed. When we see healing come to relationships that were impossible to imagine as whole, emotional growth from places of brokenness and despair, and physical healing, we experience transformation. These are all things that the Holy Spirit does so well, but even these are only a small testimony to all that happens behind the scenes.
1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
