Does your mind get in the way of you receiving and believing what God's word promises to deliver? In other words, do we filter through the flesh? This may not always be something that we do consciously, or even realize when we are doing it.
Whenever we are coming into agreement with our intellect alone, then we are at a high risk of not being in agreement with the Spirit. Our intellect will never be fully in agreement with the powerful, miraculous things of God. It takes our faith to fathom such things, as we seek the Holy Spirit to bring revelation.
Over the weekend while praying with some people from our church, we received words of knowledge. These individuals walk prophetically in the gifts that the Holy Spirit has given to them, so it was a powerful time of prayer and intercession.
I know that if we try to understand things of wonder with head knowledge, we won't believe. The supernatural things of God must be discerned by the Spirt and be tested by the word of God, not by our experiences.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NKJV And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
