Most of us have experienced moments when we truly wondered which direction our lives would take. Perhaps we were very young in our walk with God, and therefore still unsure of how our life and His was connected. We may have even been under the wrong belief that God helps those who help themselves, and so we found that we were seeking a path independent of His leading. Furthermore, we may have believed that this was how God always desired our life to progress, independently driven, but in the end paths that would find our way back to Him. In living this way there remains many errors, but one especially jumps out to me. That we will interpret our own thoughts, inclinations, and talents, by what looks right in our own eyes, leaving God out of the equation.
I like to believe that there is good in everyone, and that the good will be enough to lead us in godly pursuits, but this is not the case. Our good without God will never be good enough. Without connectivity to a God sized vision, we will likely wander in this life sadly missing the mark. A mark that our enemy hopes that we miss because he knows that God’s vision for our individual lives is born out of deep love.
Psalm 16:11 CSB You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures.
Job 23:11 CSB My feet have followed in His tracks; I have kept to His way and not turned aside.
