I have been reading a book that compels us to go deeper in our relationship with God. It urges us to let go of the distractions of this life, including all of our worries or concerns, and to abide in Him. You are reading the same book as I am. It is the Bible!
When we come into the secret place to meet with the Lord we can expect to be asked hard questions. We will be asked to let go of things that have hindered our walk. Some of these things may be so deeply buried that we have forgotten that they even exist, but that is what coming into that secret place will reveal. When we freely enter into an intimate relationship with God, and we allow Him to peel away what has been shadowing us for so long, our life with Him will change.
These meetings will not necessarily be easy in the beginning, for it is difficult to stand exposed before our Lord. We may feel the shame of past sins, but this is exactly what God is after. The Father wants nothing to be between us! Everything that we need to walk victoriously in this life is found in that secret place where we meet face to face with God.
John 14:21 CSB “The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I will also love him and will reveal Myself to Him.”
