This has been quite a week for me. I have done a bit of self reflection to be sure, and I believe there is more to come. Whenever I travel there is usually a period of time spent alone. It is during this time that I have the opportunity to observe my surroundings with a different eye, and perspective.
As I have driven familiar streets, memories from times past have come alive. It is so interesting to relive these moments from my present perspective, and not the past. To me this is the healthiest way to view them.
The different perspective that I am open to is not outside of the truth that I hold as pivotal to my faith. I am not looking for something that is lost. I just believe that we become more sensitive to the extraordinary things that the Spirit wants to share when we leave behind our ordinary day to day routines.
My joy comes from being with the people I love, but don’t see on a daily basis, as we get to experience each other in a fresh way.
Psalm 1119:18 CSB Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wondrous things from Your instruction.
