My answer is unequivocally no! It is never too late to bring honor to yourself, and others. This is exactly what this woman that we know from Proverbs is all about. She is about respecting yourself first, and then carrying that respect forward to where you become a powerful influence to others. And once you have clothed yourself with honor and dignity, then you are ready to show others the way.
To some, this woman of such character can be intimidating. Women may look at her qualities and imagine that she is a fictional character that is to be held in esteem, but that few would think of her level of excellence as achievable. She may be likened to the heroines that are brought to life in books and in cinema. But, she is real, she is accessible, and from my perspective it is time to bring her out of the shadows.
This woman in Proverbs was not perfect. She is like us in every way. We need to see her as attainable and useful in the times in which we live. Not only that, she is a woman that is desperately needed in the times in which we live!
Proverbs 31:10 CSB Who can find a wife of noble character? She is far more precious than jewels.
