Most of us are in agreement that God wants to give us the desires of our hearts. I know that I am! The desires of my heart are many, and I believe that they are God blessed, as well as God ordained. Why am I so confident that this is true? Simply because the desires of my heart are in keeping with God’s heart.
When we are in a close relationship with someone, it is not uncommon that we would have the same interests. Not only the same interests, but the same perspective as we look at those interests. So it is with God. Our relationship with the Lord has us in unity, and in that unity we are seeking to be not only like minded, but one in the Spirit. We want the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, to speak into our spirit in such a way that we walk in agreement with God, His Word, and His perfect will for our life.
The question today addresses our desires, and from those desires, I know that there are opportunities that are getting ready to burst forth in all their fullness. Once again, we may say how do we know this, and the answer is simple. God wastes not a moment of His time or ours, and even though He is outside of time, God knows that we are not. God knows that time for us is clicking. We have a window that is continually moving towards closure on this side of heaven, so time is short, and time is valuable for the children of God.
God wants us to get it right, even more than we want to get it right. For this reason, and many others, I know that God wants our core desires to come to fruition, and that has me excited!
