Are we using our strengths for the betterment of others?

My greatest strengths would be wasted if they didn’t involve others. They are what allow me to see the person before me and to desire a connection. The connection that I desire is not just one of giving out something that I consider valuable in me, but it is getting something that I recognize as valuable in them. As a Christian, it is seeing the good in myself that can help bring out the best in someone else.

On Instagram I follow a woman who is a speaker and author. Her ministry calling is primarily to women. Recently, I heard her speaking to women of their value. She is an empowering tool that God uses to crank up the heat and get women moving from bondage into freedom.

God is using her voice of purpose and strength for the betterment of others. This particular woman can be somewhat intimidating in her desire to get her message across, but it is who she is. God has shaped her to reach a generation of women who need to understand that they are worthy.

I have shared before that I too have a strong desire to tell women of their worthiness, and I am sure that there are many among you that feel the same way. If we have come through a season where unworthiness has been a lingering issue, but now we understand our worth, then we have a testimony that will impact others. And if we are somewhere in the middle of this journey, then we will benefit from another’s encouraging words. Either way, a believing sister needs to hear from us because it will lift her up and keep her going.

Today is a busy day for me, but my prayer is that it will not be so busy that I overlook someone who needs an encouraging word, a smile, or just an acknowledgment. Sometimes the best thing we can do for another person is merely acknowledging that we see them, and allowing God to do the rest.

Romans 5:5 NKJV Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

How do we have victory in every situation?

How are you marking these days?
