Will you receive your upgrade?

My youngest daughter and her family have been positioned for a tremendous upgrade. On the surface you may shake your head in disbelief, but in truth you would be missing the approaching blessing.

God is good all the time, which means there is not a time when He is not good. Things may take on an appearance that looks hopeless, but for believers we have the words of Jesus to confidently shift our perspective. Jesus was all about making things new, and guiding us forward to see the fruit that would come when we opened our eyes to see the bigger picture, the upgrade.

In March, our daughter had water from an upstairs bathroom flow for just over an hour while the family was asleep, but that damage was enough to cause the need for a major tear out from top to bottom. Even now, 3 months later, the rebuild has not begun as there is still much to be done in preparation. Plans are still being draw and ideas are being considered as to how best to proceed. The primary objective, in the natural, is to use this unexpected circumstance to create a new, and even better space for the family, but it takes time.

Sometimes we go through a season where we want the rebuild to happen quickly. We have had enough of the tear down, and just want to experience the new that we hope is coming. God, however, is not in a rush. He exercises His right to do a complete tear down so that the rebuild will be able to stand the test of time. Why? Simply because He knows what is coming, and He knows what we will need in those days. Remember, His plans are not just for today, but about our future days, and they are good! Let us never loose sight of the bigger picture. Our Father is the Master builder and we are His students.

Jeremiah 1:9-10 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me. “Behold (hear Me), I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and break down, to destroy and to over through, to build and to plant.”
