Can you learn out of rejection?

Jesus was rejected and scorned by those that He came to save, and yet even this reality does not make personal rejection easier for us.

We can read of how Jesus was continually rejected in the Scriptures, but it doesn’t stop there. Jesus is rejected in this world each day as people turn away offended by His very name. And it doesn’t stop there either. If they know you and I stand with Jesus they will mock and reject us too. Calling us names that speak of the devil and not of God. They will use words of hate to cast blame on our God and to stir up all manner of evil against any who follow Jesus. Such is the fate that Jesus spoke of to His followers when He told them to expect the same treatment as He Himself received.

For women of faith it is not complicated. We align ourselves with Jesus, posturing ourselves in such a way that when the attacks come we take refuge under the shelter of the Most High. Jesus is big enough and mighty enough, His arm is not short, nor is His ability to keep us safe.

Psalm 98:1 O SING to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous and wonderful things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.
