I recently was reading a book about destiny, and looked up to see my granddaughter passing through the room. I could not help but think of all the people who pass through our lives, and how we miss the work that God is doing in them.
Already at seven she has a powerful calling on her life. There is no mistaking that she exhibits wisdom, clarity, and focus beyond her years. She is prayerful and quick to remind others of what Jesus has done for her. By claiming answered prayers, she brings glory to God through songs of praise where she recognizes the Holy Spirit and the Father. This granddaughter is a gifted child who is spiritually open to listening and acting upon what she has heard, but a seven year old thoroughly enjoying her life, nontheless.
Her parents are very spiritually intuitive, and have created a strong witness within her home of prayerfully seeking the Lord. All of this has had a very positive influence on this child, as well as her siblings. Recently, she said, “ Whatever happens, she and Jesus will love each other forever.” Such a profound statement from one so young has blessed me beyond measure.
Matthew 19:14 NIV Jesus said,” Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
