Do you have a working vision?

Without a vision all will fail, as it will be impossible to remain engaged and motivated when you don’t know where you are going or why. All our well meaning efforts will ultimately be unsubstantiated when our direction has not been fully understood as being real and right. However, when we are in agreement with the vision, seeing it, valuing the merit it presents, then all becomes possible. We then have a working vision!

Purpose is critical, and yet it is second to our vision. We must see the vision to understand the purpose behind doing what we do, and only then will we be successful. It is impossible to truly believe in something, or someone, when you lack understanding or knowledge of the blueprint.

Before you can agree with the plans an architect presents to you regarding your house, you will want to see his blueprints, and you will either agree or disagree. Either way you will then understand what it will take to get it done.

God’s perspective on vision and purpose would have us intentionally moving forward, towards the goal set before us, engaged and actively helping it along. Like any endeavor that has long lasting value, our participation is key to seeing the results we desire.

When the Lord was asking me to partner with His plan in reaching women through a blog, I knew that the effort on my part was important. I could not say yes to the call and just do nothing. I needed to be involved and motivated to see it succeed. This was done with much prayer and leading by the Holy Spirit.

My husband often asks me if I have enough gas in my car, as he does not want me to get stranded and not reach my destination. The last time he asked me I knew there was another message to be understood.

We must be prepared to achieve the vision set before us.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight.
