Is your story in motion?

As I drove away from the house my husband said he felt that I was on a mission, and I would be meeting women who were waiting for a word of encouragement. Not far from the house a young woman asked me where I worked. I found this both interesting and revealing. She was seeing purpose!

This is a big part of my story, and it has me moving in the direction that God has clearly marked for me. I have taken His lead and am heading where I am called. I am neither stagnant nor wandering. I am purposely in motion. This has me asking for confirming words along the way, which He has provided, and for the confidence to trust that my journey will be all it needs to be.

For the last four months I have had the privilege of being in a Bible study with women in my neighborhood. It has been a deep blessing to me as I have made new friends, and reconnected with some from years past.

Yesterday was our last meeting until the autumn, and as our session came to an end our “fearless leader” charged us with a simple commission, to share.  For the last few weeks we had been talking about our testimonies, and our personal stories as they relate to our journey to salvation. It is emotional to be a part of someone’s story, a story that is highly personal and distinctly their own. You are both humbled and grateful when a person shares from the heart, and you know you sit in a place of honor.

We all have stories that need to be told, and we know there are people waiting for a story powerful enough to change their lives. Now is the time to get our story moving in a direction where it can do just that!

Romans 15:4 NLT Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled.
