Over the weekend, as I began to pray and seek direction for the next post, I found a question that I had made note of a short time ago. It just asked, "Are you looking at a blank sheet of paper?" Since there was nothing else written I can not say what it was originally about, but I can tell you that upon reading it again, I knew it held significance.
I imagine we are all familiar with the term writers block, even if we are not particularly called or interested in writing. What does apply to us all, however, is when we are looking for answers and they are not found. Even when we have sought counsel from trusted people who have a close relationship with the Lord, we can feel that we are outside of really understanding why God is silent.
The simple truth is that even when it appears that God is silent, He speaks! You need only open Scripture and you will realize that God's word is never silent. He will speak intimately and widely in regard to how His word relates to our life, and it never leaves us wanting. The Holy Spirit gets us to exactly where we need to be, and the words that we need will flow over us like a refreshing spring!
This is what I know to be true! Whatever answers we need in regard to our present or future days are available to us, we need only go to God's word.
