Recently there was an earthquake that occurred in Indonesia. I heard an individual who was vacationing there express his feelings over the BBC, while standing on a beach where he had taken refuge with other survivors. Clearly an occurrence with consequences that no one could ignore. They had quite literally felt a physical shift in the ground. This made me recall how recently I heard our pastor speak that he had been discerning a shift in the spirit.
My interpretation of that shift is that we should expect to experience power over our circumstances in relationships, in promises, and in life directions. When this kind of shift happens it occurs supernaturally in the heavenly realms first, and then we can expect to see it manifested here on earth. This shift is deep and more than it appears on the surface.
I know that what I see today is a mere fraction of the revelation that is around the corner. I am very much an expectant person. I expect God to move in all situations, and so I am always looking for the tangible evidence to support this belief. In the past I have heard people say that because they did not see God move in the way they expected, their perspective was that He did not move. This thinking certainly is not supported by God's Word. God hears us and He does act upon what He hears.
Joel 2:28 NKJV And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
