I am doing a Bible study with some women in my neighborhood. The study itself is a blessing, as are all of them. It is a season where we are being strengthened by one another in our search for answers.
Conversations of all sorts are driven by questions. I recall my youngest daughter saying it this way, “I have a question.” She was stating her intention before she proceeded with anything else, and in my opinion it gave the listener a sense of her seriousness and determination. I came to look for this approach and to expect to see it often.
As believers we are encouraged to ask questions and expect to receive answers. In fact, the Word of God is very clear about this very thing. Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth. I believe that by the Holy Spirit we will ask questions that have been birthed in our spirits, and we will not only receive those answers, but we will understand the answers that we receive. Both the questions that pour forth, and the answers that we receive are relevant to our life. The Lord does indeed have specific knowledge that He knows we all need. For God promises that we will always have what we need when we need it.
Does being question marked mean that we are free to not only ask questions, but actually encouraged to do so? I would answer this question with a resounding yes!
John 14:26 NKJV “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”
Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
