We live in a world where money is paramount to accomplishing big things, and yet we are not of this world. Therefore, in our world we are dependent on kingdom values and not the world’s economy. Our pastor gave a teaching this past weekend that lines up with this truth and it is a life changer!
We read in John 19:30 where Jesus said, “It is finished,” and bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. All that the Father sought to accomplish through the death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary was complete. When Jesus died He was walking out the plan that had been put in place before the foundation of the world. God knew even then that His Son would be sacrificed for mankind for the forgiveness of sins. God’s plan was complete before it began, but it still had to come to fruition. Jesus had to leave heaven and come to earth.
Now to the vision part concerning us. Just as God knew what had to happen with Jesus, He knows the plans that have been set in place for us. Once again those plans were established before the foundation of the world. So, it is complete before it even begins. For me, it is like taking the finished product and working backwards. Everything we need has already been made available for us. The supply has been fulfilled to meet all the requirements of the vision.
In other words, all we need for the vision that we have been given has already been met. We are not dependent on provision to come in the world’s way. To accomplish the heavenly vision that has been given to us means that we are dependent on kingdom financing, and that financing was made available at the same time the vision was set in place in the mind of God. We don’t have to wait for it to be approved. It is a done deal!
The best thing we can do is to stay focused on our God-given vision, believing we will see provision come through for that vision, and remembering our God who provides both the vision and provision is faithful!
Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” Praying that our eyes would be open to the Kingdom of God is a good place to start.
Our pastor said it like this, “Nothing has to happen to see it happen. We just need to have the faith to enter into His rest.”
Colossians 2: 9-10 CSB For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Psalm 93: 1-2 NIV The LORD reigns, He is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. Your throne was established long ago; You are from all eternity.
