Recently, a friend of mine asked me to join her in praying for a co-worker. As I began to pray the Holy Spirit highlighted some points to me, so I wrote them down for her. I feel that you might know someone, or be that someone, that God is calling to stand firm in your workplace for a person who is hurting.
This is what I told my friend.
As I was praying for you today I wanted to share a few points that I felt were important. First, and you already know this; you are working for a greater purpose than what is obvious. The Lord has you in a place that needs someone to stand firm. You are that person. The Lord has given you eyes to see, a heart to know and understand, and a willingness to step out. These days are dark. Our young and old are being deceived by what looks good in their own eyes. It is a time where we must intercede for those that are blinded to the truth.
As I was praying specifically, for the young woman you mentioned, it was very clear. God makes NO mistakes. We are who we were created to be. As women we are exactly as God saw us. Created in His image, gender specific to who He wanted us to be.
I prayed that this woman would not be deceived. I prayed that she would see that her greatest strength is coming into agreement with God, not the world. I prayed that she would walk out her life’s purpose with clarity and not confusion. I declared that confusion and rejection must go, in Jesus name.
I prayed that salvation would come and that she would be transformed! I declared that through salvation her eyes would be opened, and she would stand firm in truth. I prayed that she would not be pressured to conform to the world’s definition of beauty. I prayed that her perspective and viewpoint would line up with God’s eternal plan for her life. I prayed that she would know that she is deeply loved by her Creator, and that nothing can separate her from His love.
The world has a twisted frame of reference concerning our identity and how we should operate. Our adversary wants to deceive us into thinking that once we conform to this new identity that we will walk in fullness. After all, it is what each individual wants in life. He will pressure relentlessly, using others that walk in deception, whether knowingly or unknowingly, to be his foot soldiers. They will speak that to be fully accepted you need only choose to change what you don’t like. The enemy of our soul relishes this attitude because it is in direct conflict to who God is and what His desires are for us.
My final prayer:
Father, I ask that you go back to the very beginning when this beautiful young woman first heard words spoken over her that made her feel that she was less than the people that surrounded her. We declare and decree that she is free to be a woman, in a woman’s body, and she does not have to be who she is not to fit in and be accepted. She is a beauty walking out her destiny and purpose in Jesus Name, Amen.
Genesis 1:27 CSB So God created man in His own image, He created him in the image of God, He created them male and female.
