Yesterday, was the last official meeting of our neighborhood Bible study until September. It has been a fruitful year, and one where God has moved in ways too numerous to count. Actually, it is difficult to turn the page even for a few months. It truly was that good!
God met us all year long. He was faithful to deliver what we needed, when we needed it, and this was never more evident than at our final meeting. For me, it was just so wonderful to hear the women share what this year has meant to them, how God has revealed much along the way, and how excited they are for the days ahead.
May I brag on these women for a moment?
I know that there are many awesome neighborhoods, where you live may be one of them, or you may have a community of women that you meet with on a regular basis that blesses you immensely. Isn’t it just wonderful when you can come together with believing women and search out the deep things of God? That is how I feel about the women within my neighborhood who come out week after week to be with their sisters in Christ.
What I know is that we are faithful to come together to study God’s word because He has shown us what faithfulness looks like in our everyday world. When we gather it is not with the hope that it will be a fruitful day, but in knowing that it absolutely will be everything that we need, and everything that God desires for us.
Thank your sisters when next you meet with them, those who are your armor- bearers when you need help in standing, and the prayer warriors that are quick to seek God on your behalf. It is the faithful love among God’s kingdom people that can never be minimized. Rejoice with them for how God has brought you together, for such a time as this, and finally, just tell them that you love them!
Ruth 1:16 CSB But Ruth replied: Don’t plead with me to abandon you or to return and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.
