This world is not stable. This is a fact that truly becomes central to our faith. God is our only hope in this world, and since He has taken the necessary actions to rescue us, then we must operate from that same place. It is about keeping our focus where it will bring us peace.
God’s Word tells us not to worry, but rest in His peace and provision. The provision is for everything that we need in this life. God knows what we need, when we need it, and how much of it we need.
In the midst of any decision we are encouraged to use wisdom, but within that window of wisdom there should be trust. We are not to be seen as going to and fro, but steady as we go!
Last week, my husband and I left for our trip out west. Although we have enjoyed our adventure together, it has been everything that we did not plan for when we set out. We were targeting Utah as our final destination with stops in the Colorado Rockies, but all that changed when the weather became dangerously unpredictable. Snow, ice, tornadoes, and flooding caused us to change our plans drastically and head south. In New Mexico we were forced to abandon our plans to camp in the high dessert due to low temperatures and snow.
Last night we were comfortably safe, dry in a hotel, and praising God for getting us off the road. Our heavenly Father has taken care of us every single mile along the way.
Matthew 6:26-28 NKJV Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into the barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So, why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin.
