When you share how God has worked in your life,is it from a place of certainty where you are determined to show others the good, or are you having to manipulate what really happened in order to make it appear that God did come through?
As I thought about this question it really caused me to reflect on the seriousness of posturing in favor of expected loss, instead of victory. You’ll understand what I mean when I say it this way. What if I said, “I am praying for God to heal, but He may decide that healing is not what He wants to do in this situation.”
Even just writing that makes me cringe because if God did not want to heal, or actually did not ever heal, then we would not have a Scripture that testified to it being true. In every case, we must remember that God’s Word is true, and that His truth sets us free.
This position of agreement is pivotal when we call upon God to stand with us, for this place of victory changes us. It not only changes us, it charges us to move forward leaving doubt behind. Otherwise, we are taking a double minded stance we essentially use to protect ourselves.
We cannot believe in victory, and yet doubt that we will win at the same time. The general cannot put forth his best strategy to win while assuming the battle will be lost. If he does this, then he has indeed lost already.
I want to remember that God’s Word sets me free from doubt when I am told by others what my best option should be, and what I should expect.
My best and only option is to believe what God’s Word tells me to believe. So, when I am faced with whether to align myself up with the God door which is number 1, or the less than desirable door number 2, I know which door I will always choose.
Isaiah 41:10 CSB Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.
Romans 8:37-38 TPT Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and His demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything.
So, now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that His love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken His love.
