I believe that the answer to this question is absolutely, yes! We have all experienced divine appointments that we knew had a greater purpose than perhaps we first thought. Maybe we didn’t even recognize them as being God- ordained until after all was said and done.
While we were camping in Pueblo, Colorado, we met a man from Texas. This man had such an amazing story which he shared with us as we sat at a picnic table. It was clear as we listened to him speak that meeting him had always been part of God’s plan.
You recall how I mentioned in yesterday’s post how we had to change our plans, heading south to escape the ominous weather? Well, God knew before hand that circumstances would change for us and we would be in the same place as this man from Texas. A man who has a heart the size of Texas, and humility to match. It was our honor to listen, and pray for him as the Holy Spirit gave us spiritual insight.
On this occasion, it was meeting this man that made our trip well worth any inconvenience. In fact, we said perhaps the entire trip was merely about this one encounter, with this one special human being, this one man of God who was traveling alone with his dog.
1 Peter 4:8 CSB Above all, keep your love for one another at full strength, since love covers a multitude of sins.
