As I was preparing for this post today I was thinking about people who we are closely connected to, and yet for some reason they appear to be missing. We may know where they are physically, but that doesn’t mean we understand the full story.
I know that we can’t always know for certain what another person is thinking, or experiencing, but we can try. We have all heard the expression that relates to walking in another person’s shoes, and how we never can fully understand their pain because it isn’t ours.
The best we can do is try and give them what they need. It may not ever be enough, but we can love them and stand with them as they walk it out.
