Are you being encouraged?

Yesterday, I received an email from a woman who blesses me by reading this blog. She wanted me to know that the post from the previous day regarding victory was an encouragement to her. Also, she wanted to tell me that understanding God’s Word and carrying it through to every decision we make really spoke to her.

Truthfully, it is so wonderful when we can be an encouragement to one another. In fact, this is really what this blog is all about. It is about believing women sharing their life with one another through conversation. You and I both know that conversation is vital and must never be overlooked. Meaningful conversation is what makes a difficult day bearable, it is what makes a woman who is questioning her value feel like someone has noticed her, and it is what we all need.

The other day I opened conversation with a woman by telling her how her obvious joy was contagious to all around her. It was enough to not only bring a smile to her face, but to give her permission to share some personal aspects of her life. We all have experienced this when we know that something truly wonderful is happening between strangers, and that God is surely involved.

My question today was pertaining to you! I know that often it is easier to be the encourager, instead of on the receiving end. We seem to like giving out more then saying that we need to be encouraged.

So, I will say it for myself. I love encouragement, and that is what the reader did for me yesterday. I liked it and I received every word of it, so much so that I needed to tell all of you about it, too! And there is one more thing that I really want to say. Thank you all for encouraging me each day as you read this blog. You truly are awesome!

Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
